NYT’s Year in Ideas

perfect parallel parkingThe New York Times Magazine’s Year in Ideas is definitely one of my favorite reads of the year.

My personal recommendations are Perfect Parallel Parking and The Train That Never Stops.  Would anyone believe that I’ve been thinking of this kind of train system for years?

The train that never stops blew my mind, but it took me a while to get what was happening. An inside animated version for the video, conveying the process, would be interesting.

I found this interesting model for organizing street lights, traffic lights, and so on. It’s called the mobius strip lamp.

This isn’t really a Mobius strip, but it’s a really cool idea, nonetheless. Thanks for sharing!
