Back in the Classroom — Week 2
This week I gave my first in-person quiz in a year-and-a-half. It felt good to be present while students were working, watching them pause and think, noticing what they erased and re-did. Afterwards I picked up a pile of papers and took a look at how we were all doing. I missed this experience.
I enjoy writing quizzes and tests, and I see in-class assessment as a fundamental part of the learning process. But I’m already bringing back with me some of the approaches to assessment I embraced in remote learning. This is definitely an opportunity to enjoy the best of both worlds.
