12/02/2012 — Another Permutation Day!

Published by MrHonner on

Today we celebrate another Permutation Day!  I call days like today permutation days because the digits of the day and month can be rearranged to form the year.

We’ve enjoyed several permutation day this year, and we’re not done yet!

Celebrate Permutation Day by mixing things up!  Try doing things in a different order today.  Just remember, for some operations, order definitely matters!

It’s interesting. We’re having 8 this year, yet only 6 next year:
January 23 (0123)
March 12 (0312),
March 21 (0321),
November 23 (1023)
December 3 (1203),
and December 30 (1230).

We have even fewer in 2014:
January 24 (0124),
April 12 (0412),
April 21 (0421),
November 24 (1024)
December 4 (1204).

The next year we wont have any permutation days will be 2133, the first year since 2000. Thank you for sharing this.
