These are called Ferrofluids. You can make some astounding sculptures with these with any household magnet. I tried making my own, but it came nowhere near the commercial brands responsiveness.

So these a ferrofluid is basically a liquid with small metallic particles somehow suspended in them? That’s prettty, but not nearly as awesome as you trying to make your own. What’s that process like?

But the process itself was pretty straightforward since I had access to most of the materials and appropriate tools at a local college lab.
