Math Photo: Translation/Projection
A lovely arrangement from inside Hallgrímskirkja, in Reykjavik. Sunlight passing through the congruent window on the opposite side of the church creates what looks like a translation. I wonder if there’s a time of year when the images match up exactly?

Very cool photo. But I think the sunlit image would be similar — slightly enlarged due to diffraction — rather than congruent to the real window on that wall.
