Math Photo: Triangles on the Beach
While on the beach one day, I found a triangular rock. So I started on some beach relief.
Then I iterated.
And I iterated again.
And I continued to iterate, until the whole beach was one big Sierpinski Triangle!

You might recognize that this makes an infinite tessellation, not to mention a problem in visualizing obverse and reverse. Didn’t Waldemar Sierpinski beat Frank Shorter in to 1972 Olympic Marathon? Oh, I think that was Cierpinski, but what’s a sibilant between friends?
