More Parabolas in Nature

Or maybe an inverted bell-curve.  Beautiful, whatever this North side of Eagle Lake, Acadia National Park, is.

    Would that not be a hyperbola … or (a non-infinite) half of one? The other half is hopefully reflected in the clean, unpolluted water…
